Argentina GoodBye!

It was great to spend some time in Argentina, see the family, and get to know the country in the summer time. We ended up getting bumped from our return flight, but that was great - that meant we got an extra day to enjoy Buenos Aires. Thanks so much to our favorite Delta retiree for making this trip possible and to my buddies at Frosch Travel who helped to coordinate and plan this fantastic weekend getaway.

Catch you all on our next adventure.

Back at our old tricks....

Jeff and Zak back on the road. Last night we decided to take off for the long weekend. Flipped a coin and decided to head for the summer sun of Buenos Aires. Just arrived this morning, will be here for 3 days!

This is our second time together in Argentina, the last time was in 2005. This is I think our 5th international trip together - Argentina ('05,'11), Spain ('06) Panama ('07), India and Dubai ('08)

Excited!

Universal Translator App Released!

Wow, we finally did it. We've been working on it for a while but today was the day we finally finished: The Universal Translator App! Yes, like from Star Trek.

Download it here

The app is quite simple. It enables two people to communicate instantly with each other while both speaking in their native languages. It translates on the fly, in real time. Very cool stuff. Make sure you go to get it now!

Jeff and I certainly could have used this on some of our travels. Excited to see it finally available!.

Near to Here - my new travel app - launched today!

I am very excited to say that our new iphone app, Near to Here, launched today, and quite successfully too. Check it our and download it by going to Near to Here

It's a really cool travel application, that will surely aid me and Jeff on our next adventure.

Using reverse geolocation look-up technology, Near to Here knows exactly where you are and what interesting stuff is around you. As you pass by landmarks - both renowned and obscure, you will be alerted with the Wikipedia entry of whatever is near - allowing you to discover and learn as you wander through new or old places.

No matter where you are on the planet, if you are near to something cool, chances are, Near to Here will alert you and tell you about it. Whether you are passing by a plaza in Rome, playing near a fountain in Paris, strolling through Times Square in New York, or admiring the world's largest ball of yarn in Darwin, Minnesota, this application will give you all the information you need to be an informed traveler.

I was excited to get a little ink from our friends over at The Campus Socialite. Check our the interview.

Thanks to everyone for all the support.

Mumbai

Hey everyone I decided to make a post after the recent events in Mumbai, India. It was a very unfortunate what unfolded there. They hit a bunch of the tourist locations and we visited almost all of them while we were tourists in Mumbai. Below is a description of the pictures I posted in order- 1. The Taj Hotel in Mumbai on fire during the attacks, we took many pictures in front of this building and we tried to book a room, but it was WAY out of our price range ~$400 or 1700 INR . 2. A picture of Leopold's cafe a couple days after the attacks. Zak and I ate there (I ate the garlic bread) and we ran into our flight attendants from our flight from JFK. This is very very popular with tourists, it is a must see, I do no know why, maybe because it is so old (1871). 3. A picture we took of the Taj Hotel it was founded in 1903. 4. Zak in front of the Taj Hotel. 5. Zak and I in front of the Taj Hotel.

B-Bite Free and Preventing Malaria

Throughout my travels in India, Panama, and the mountains of Puerto Rico I have not found a better insect repellent than B-Bite Free - www.bbitefree.com . This product is the longest lasting, best performing bug spray I have ever used. B-Bite Free contains 98.11% Deet, which is the only proven ingredient to repel bugs especially mosquitoes and ticks. The higher percentage of Deet the longer the product will last. B-Bite Free lasts at least 3 times longer than the other insect repellents that I have used. In India, I decided not to take malaria pills because I knew I had the best prevention to mosquito carrying diseases like Lyme Disease, Malaria, and West Nile Disease. Malaria pills tend to have very adverse side-effects. India is one of the hardest hit areas by Malaria in the entire world, and I persevered due to this long lasting product, B-Bite Free. Also, I noticed on their website - www.bbitefree.com - that it is a veteran-formed small business. I always prefer to give my business to veterans and small business owners because they are the backbone of our society. The company's name is Faulkwood Chemical LLC, it is based somewhere in Florida. I pulled this pictures of the product off of their website- www.bbitefree.com -
